General Qualifications and Experience
Ravinder Gupta, PE has over 33 years of experience in the design, analysis, construction, and management of a wide variety of highway and bridge engineering projects. Ravinder specializes in roadway design, maintenance of traffic, highway geometrics, drainage design, bridge hydraulic modeling, bridge design, and bridge inspection. He holds ODOT prequalifications in Complex Roadway Design, Safety Study, Level 2 Bridge Design, and Level 1 Bridge Inspection. He is well versed in Geopak, MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, HEC-RAS, Merlin Dash, CONSPAN, BARS-PC, and AASHTOWareBrR. He has experience preparing detailed bridge plans, traffic control plans, cross sections, plan and profile sheets, maintenance of traffic plans, maintenance of traffic alternative analysis reports (MOTAA), general summary sheets, pavement design, bridge detail plans, and construction cost estimates. Ravinder has successfully completed ODOT’s training classes on Maintenance of Traffic and Signings and Pavement Markings. In addition, he has taken ODOT’s Bridge Load Rating Class, Bridge Inspection Level 1 and 2 training classes, and Seismic Training Class. Recent bridge and roadway design experience includes: FRA-70-3.41 Interstate Rehabilitation, Hilliard Rome Road/IR 70 Ramp Clear Design/Build, UNI-245-0.45, FRA-71-21.26, FRA-40-21.35 (ODOT D6), JEF-22-0.78, JEF-7-22.42 (Limited Review), JEF-150-1.17, BEL-70-26.63, COL-11-17.70 Design/Build, and BEL-70-5.92 (ODOT D11), BRO-763-0.65, SCI-125-0.73/2.11, ADA-125-(0.45)(0.52), SHE-75-3.72, MIA-75-14.57, and CLA-CR351-(3.03)(3.04). Ravinder was the production manager and lead engineer for the Dublin Road/Fishinger Road intersection upgrade which included a new traffic signal and new left turn lanes. Ravinder designed 3½ miles (Section 3B) of the Portsmouth Bypass Design Build project (SCI-823-0000) using Bentley Connect 3D modeling. His recent project management and design experience for bridge replacement projects over waterways requiring a hydraulic analysis and structure type study include: BRO-763-1.02, MER-117/707-7.21/6.37/14.99, and LAW-775-15.45/15.70.
